Innovative system of video surveillance PSA
Panoramic Scene Analysis (PSA) is an innovative system of video surveillance. Thanks to joint special optical systems of recovery and use of sophisticated algorithms for analysis, PSA may find applications in various scenarios.
The view 360 degrees of the surrounding area is made by a sensor fixed on new concepts that can be equipped with both retro-reflecting optics and optics-type "fish eye" with angle up to 180 degrees. The algorithms for the analysis of scenes, designed to ensure proper operation even in outdoor environments with sharp reflexes and changes in brightness, act directly on the pan, noting the moving objects in the selected areas of attention and ensuring a high rate of accuracy in the detection of events of interest and a low number of false alarms. The images are processed in real time to detect one or more areas of concern, perform a hot blob of interest and assess their trajectory on the image.
PSA can also be configured in pairs with one or more cameras PTZ - Pan / Tilt / Zoom: This integration allows you to automatically activate the camera, enabling high-resolution tracking of a specific object that passes in selected areas of attention, l ' extraction of particular interest from the scene, and the constant pointing of the camera PTZ on areas where there is activity.
Advantages and Applications
- Total coverage of the scene through the use of a single camera (for a similar vision with traditional systems, it must use at least 3 or 4 fixed cameras), resulting in reduced costs of installation and maintenance of disk space required for archiving, and the time patrol.
- Slewing virtual post on movies archived.
- Timing of installation and configuration extremely reduced.
The range of possible applications of this technology ranges from the monitoring of indoor (museums, railway stations, warehouses, shopping centers, schools) than outdoors (car parks, ports, service stations), the road traffic control (crosses, squares, motorways) and sites sensitive to military applications, to virtual reality.
